At BBright, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way 5th to 12th-grade students learn and grow. That's why we're building an e-learning platform called elicejus, which will soon be a life-saver to thousands of students and teachers across Lithuania (and later abroad!). Elicejus allows students to dynamically discover their learning gaps, fill them in with the help of top-tier interactive content and be on top of their academic game. We believe that true education is engaging, interactive, and tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

As a Front-End Engineer on our dynamic startup team, you'll be at the very frontlines of elicejus development. Your expertise in React.js and your keen eye for UI/UX will play a vital role in shaping the digital classrooms of tomorrow, and you'll be fully involved in collaborative UX-related decision-making.

Tech stack:

• React.js
• ReactQuery
• tRPC
• PrimeReact (as UI library)

We need you to:

• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in front-end development, and share knowledge with the team.
• Identify and troubleshoot front-end issues and bugs, providing timely resolutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.

You should have:

• Strong proficiency in React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with React Query for data fetching and state management.
• Familiarity with tRPC or similar frameworks for building API clients.
• Good UI/UX knowledge and the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize code.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Good to have:

• Experience with PrimeReact or other UI libraries for React.
• Familiarity with monorepo architecture.
• Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and Next.js.
• Knowledge of backend technologies, such as Node.js.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, such as Jest or Playwright.
