Senior Data Engineer

The Opportunity

The company is growing and we are strengthening our team in Vilnius join us helping the world navigate the energy transition!

What you will be doing:

• Build, scale, iterate, and take ownership of existing data processing pipelines
• Design and implement new data processing pipelines
• Analyze and organize raw data; combine raw information from different sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts
• Explore ways to enhance data reliability; collect and monitor performance metrics

What you should have:

• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or a similar field

• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, C#, Scala, Java)
• Knowledge with BI tools (PowerBI, Superset, Grafana)
• Understanding of distributed computing principles and data architecture
• Knowledge of best practices with database design
• Great numerical and analytical skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to communicate how complex systems work and how tools be applied to challenging data processing problems

Great if you have:

• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques

• Master degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or a similar field

• Comfortable with SQL, good understanding of SQL engine basics
• Knowledge with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Knowledge with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
