We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You will have an amazing opportunity to work with an experienced and constantly growing team. Your first project in Avalanche Labs will be in the Banking industry playing a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of technology solutions that meet the needs of our clients. The project that you and a team will be working on is in BI and DWH area (Group Business Intelligence, Group Data Warehouse development and architecture Risk area data loadings for Loss and Recovery and Capital Adequacy Assessment projects). The essence of the projects is to develop BI reporting solutions, incl. development of data sourcing for various banking regulatory credit reports. The team consists of between 7-10 consultants and the structure is as follows: between 1 product owner; 1 scrum master; 3-4 DWH engineers; 1-2 data analysts; 1-2 business analysts. Overall when joining our team as a Scrum Master, you will work closely with Agile development teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest level of quality. You will be responsible for managing the Scrum process, facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and ensuring the development team adheres to the Agile principles and values. In addition to that, you will have an opportunity to work with different clients and projects all over the world and kick-start your career here in Avalanche Labs.

3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in tech company or working in banking/finance-related business areas;

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and values;

Ability to coach and mentor teams to improve the Agile development process;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;

Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Desire to implement continuous improvement and innovation.

Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams, guiding the team to success and ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles and values

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Work collaboratively with product owners to define and prioritize product backlogs

Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments that prevent the team from achieving their goals

Ensure that the development team is productive and follows the Agile best practices

Track and report team progress, including burndown charts, velocity, and other Agile metrics

Help stakeholders understand and embrace the Agile development process
