Job Description
TeleSoftas is currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer!
About the project
Bourne Leisure is a British company that provides various holiday locations. Guests can choose holiday experiences according to their needs, from Haven caravan holiday parks to Warner hotels. The company consists of cross-functional product tribes, and YOU have a chance to join one of them - the Foundation tribe.
The Foundations Tribe’s objectives are to supply core systems and features that power the other Haven Digital Tribes. Examples of these systems are - Customer Data, Payments, CRM and BI data.
The main responsibilities of the role and daily tasks
- Conversion of business requirements into performant, reliable data sets in our Data Lake, Snowflake
- Modelling data views and aggregates using DBT Cloud
- Maintenance of data layers within Snowflake
Requirements
Tech Requirements
- At least 2 years (for senior-level 4+ years) of proven working experience in a data engineering field
- Data warehouse: Snowflake
- Expertise in Python
- Expertise in SQL and DBT
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD
- Understanding of various AWS technologies, including Lambdas
Soft Requirements
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with Alation
- Experience in mentoring other members of the team
