Job Description
We are a modern logistics business that is a precisely calibrated big data IT service. We are managing thousands of always-connected and continuously tracked trucks - all load orders, navigation, documents, toll, and fuel checks are digital. A tablet in drivers’ cabins is an essential real-time connectivity device enabling effective logistics. Supporting thousands of IoT we are running many API / EDI integrations and robots, exchanging data with online cargo and freight markets, transport service providers, and customer portals.
As a Data Base Engineer / DBA, you will bring professional knowledge to designing and maintaining databases supporting business-critical applications in a hybrid-cloud setup.
We are currently looking for a: Data Base Engineer / DBA
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES IN THIS POSITION:
- Design and maintain databases for various business applications;
- Develop and implement performance improvements;
- Own database replication, distribution, and resiliency processes;
- Design database service offering for data center and cloud applications;
- Own and implement a data retention process.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL, and PostgreSQL;
- Strong experience in disaster recovery methods;
- Strong logs investigation and troubleshooting skills;
- Proven experience combining SQL, NoSQL, and IMDB solutions for specific business needs;
- Ability to function independently and as a team member;
- Good English language skills.
WE OFFER:
