QA Automation Engineer (opportunity for contractors), remote

Job Description

We work on a project basis (in the EU and beyond), to this day we have already implemented over 320 projects and currently, we are working on another 45 projects. We have a wide range of clients from the financial sector, fintech, government projects, manufacturing companies etc.
Your new project as part of our team will be with a gaming client, helping them build a super new online casino!
Project lenght: 1-2 years.
Requirements
Proficiency with Cypress for end-to-end testing is essential.
- Familiarity with other testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
- Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX, to understand the frontend structure and elements.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines, preferably within Bitbucket.
Project Experience:
- Proven experience in creating, executing, and maintaining automated test suites for complex web applications, preferably within an agile development environment.
- Familiarity with API testing and understanding of HTTP status codes, request/response headers, and payload structures.
Collaboration amp; Communication:
- Ability to closely collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and understand system architecture and functionalities.
- Effective communication skills to convey testing outcomes, document bugs, and provide feedback to improve the development process.
Continuous Improvement:
- Experience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining automated testing environments for CI/CD.
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement within the testing and QA framework, and propose enhancements to testing methodologies.
Domain Knowledge:
- Experience or willingness to understand the online gaming or casino domain to better tailor testing strategies.
Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
