WHAT WE DO
We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:
- Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
- User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
- Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
- Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
- Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.
Avalanche Laboratory is looking fora Data Engineer/Analyst for a banking project.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer/Data Analyst who is proficient in SQL, VBA, SQL Server, Tableau and has a deep understanding of ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with both old and new database technologies and adept at manipulating and transforming data from various sources.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Data Engineer/Analyst
- Expertise in SQL, VBA, SQL Server
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting
- Strong understanding of ETL solutions and best practices
- Familiarity with both old and new database technologies
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data manipulation and transformation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement processes to move data from different sources to the data warehouse
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Develop and maintain databases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Build and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
- Create and automate data manipulation and transformation processes using VBA
- Design and develop visualizations using Tableau for effective data presentation and analysis
- Troubleshoot and optimize the data for improved efficiency and performance
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data engineering and analytics to continuously improve processes and deliverables
