We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Retention Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive Data Retention Schedule, including Data Retention rules, for Baltic countries in compliance with local and global regulations. This retention schedule will play a crucial role in triggering events against structured/unstructured data in IT systems to anonymize or delete data as required.
DO YOU HAVE...
Bachelor's degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in data management, data retention, or compliance-related roles.
Strong understanding of local and global data retention regulations, particularly in Baltic countries.
Excellent knowledge of structured and unstructured data and their retention requirements.
Familiarity with IT systems and databases, and the ability to work with IT teams to implement data retention policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Certification in data management, compliance, or related fields is a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and maintain a Data Retention Schedule that aligns with local and global regulations for Baltic countries.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that the Data Retention Schedule is in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Define Data Retention rules and policies to govern the retention, anonymization, and deletion of data across various systems and databases.
- Work closely with IT and security teams to implement the Data Retention policies and ensure that they are effectively enforced.
- Identify and assess risks associated with data retention and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Data Retention policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and emerging best practices related to data retention and privacy.
- The position is mostly remote with occasional office visits (1-2 per month)

Salary range: 4600-5600 gross depending of experience and seniority.
