We are looking for a Senior Mainframe Engineer to join the dedicated Softeta team working on the Cards core platform. You will take part in a complex merge/transformation program. We’re looking for professionals who are focused on quality, commitments and a joyful environment.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the mainframe software solutions, ensuring quality, scalability, performance, and reusability;
- Maintain good code quality and standards. Perform code reviews;
- Work in a team, transforming user stories into functional applications;
- Helping to drive a change in a virtual organization following agile methodologies.
Technologies - iCobol, DB2/SQL, JCL, IDz.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in software development with COBOL;
- Understanding the way mainframe applications are written and being familiar with the challenges it bring;
- Skilled in using best development practices (unit testing, code reviews);
- Strong sense of ownership;
- Fluent in English.
