ABOUT THE ROLEThe credit underwriter role is responsible for the timely review of all non-automated requests. You will protect the interests of Revolut and our prospective customers by reviewing financial information provided by applicants and other available third party data to determine whether they meet Revolut's criteria for creditworthiness.WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Evaluate applicant’s creditworthiness and identify risks including an assessment of affordability and review of applicant’s credit file in line with Revolut’s lending criteria
- Review customer documentation and details for accuracy and authenticity
- Identify potentially fraudulent applications and escalate where required
- Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information related with credit applications to support underwriting decision
- Make decisions regarding whether to approve an applicant for financing
- Assess and make decisions regarding overdue/forborne/non-performing loans that do not pass automated decision making
- Consult internal Operation teams regarding lending/forbearance/collections
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field
- Previous experience in unsecured loan underwriting, creditworthiness assessment and/or loan collection, recoveries
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to question and scrutinize information
- High level of numeracy
- High level of attention to detail regarding documentation examination
- Ability to work within given deadlines/SLAs
- Solid understanding of lending products and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service oriented
