At Treatwell, we're changing the way people book hair amp; beauty treatments. With over 25,000 Partner salons, processing 1 million orders per month and operating across 11 countries, we're the biggest platform in Europe doing it.

We currently employ over 500 brilliantly-talented people from the UK right through to Lithuania. Together, we’re on a mission to digitise the industry, putting customers and salon managers in control. Right now, only 2% of people book hair amp; beauty online, our mission is to change that; connecting consumers with the right experts anytime, from anywhere.

The Role

Here in the Treatwell tech team we’re a nice bunch. We believe in Agile principles and values, we like to ship software frequently and we are committed to continually improving the way we work.

Our Platform team is responsible for the infrastructure, systems and tools utilised across our stream-aligned teams and we’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and pragmatic Platform Engineer to join this growing team.

You’ll help us design and build slick, robust and reliable technical infrastructure and tooling, to champion DevOps culture and practices throughout our engineering teams, and to accelerate our journey towards Continuous Delivery. We’re growing very quickly, both as a team and as a business. The remit of the Platform Team is to enable this growth.

About You

  • You have a good working knowledge of Linux
  • Commercial experience working with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, Route53, CloudFront, S3, RDS to name a few
  • Commercial experience with Docker amp; Kubernetes
  • You have commercial experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Previously worked with Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration Management tooling such as CloudFormation and Ansible
  • Some programming / scripting experience in Java, Bash, Python, Go or similar
  • Passionate about DevOps culture and practices can help coach teams to adopt these ideas

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, ELK and CloudWatch
  • Experience working with distributed systems, and have an appreciation of highly available, self-healing systems.
  • Experience working in, or closely with, Agile development teams
  • Previously worked in an e-commerce environment

Salary: based on experience can be upwards of 3500
