Data Analyst/Senior Data Analyst will be jointly responsible for standardisation, modelling and forecasting of various demographic, socio- and macro-economic data meeting client needs and deadlines.
This is demanding role requiring to constantly contribute to improvement of existing modelling and forecasting techniques, as well as seek for and implement new methods to ensure cross comparability and a high quality of data estimates.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysing and manipulating statistics, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis as required using R
- Standardising raw statistical data to ensure cross country comparability
- Extrapolating and interpolating the data by devising modelling and forecasting techniques based on quantitative and judgmental methods
- Commissioning standardisation, modelling and forecasting from freelance associates in Lithuania and around the world
- Monitoring and ensuring data quality
- Liaising with sales and marketing departments and dealing with client queries
Requirements
- Background in Mathematics/Econometrics/Economics or similar fields, relevant working experience;
- R fluency, SQL is an advantage;
- Experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis and time series forecasting;
- Understanding and interest in international economic, demographic and social trends;
- Excellent communications skills and English fluency (both oral amp; writing);
- Organizational ability, creativity and attention to detail;
- Ability to work on own initiative.
