Population and Households Consultant

The Population and Households Consultant will be responsible for building thought leadership and showcasing our insights, opinions and views on the all-important demographic landscape. This includes maximising the use of data to create a compelling offer and voice in this area, both to underpin sales of the Population and Households offer and of the sister Economies and Consumers pages.

The role encompasses both content and commercial objectives. Publishing insightful reports forms the core of the role, from which commercial objectives of showcasing our expertise via client engagement, relevant conferences; playing a part in CG opportunities as they arise; and generally monitoring the commercial viability of the pages.

Above all, with support from senior managers, the Population and Households Consultant will take ownership of the page.

Responsibilities

Content

We expect the Population and Households Consultant to create thought-provoking analysis of a high standard.

• Deliver compelling insights through Strategy Briefings
• Work with other analysts on the team to produce compelling Country and Regional Reports
• Become an expert user in relevant Analytics tools and include outputs in written and visual content
• Organise and maintain content schedule
• Work closely with the data team to ensure our coverage of the most interesting datasets related to population and households trends, suggesting additions and enhancements (in line with commercial, research and cost factors).
• Make Population and Households a must have part of all client subscriptions
• Deliver training and presentations, as necessary, to internal staff and external parties about Population and Households and Euromonitor’s insight capabilities in this area
• Participate in structured client engagement with an agreed shortlist of key clients and prospects
• Serve as central point of contact for queries and custom projects related to the systems
• Engage with Consulting representatives (both BD and Research) around our Population and Households capability
• Respond to press requests
• Build internal profile through Chatter and Learning Loop trainings
• Build a social media profile on LinkedIn and Twitter to promote your expertise in city trends

Commercial

We expect the Population and Households Consultant to support the commercialisation of the Population and Households pages, engaging directly with clients both in support of sales and as a necessary input to building further knowledge on the space.

Requirements

For the Consultant position, Euromonitor is looking for creative candidates with initiative, who have excellent analytical and written communication skills as well as the ability to refine existing product offerings.

It is important that the role be filled with a creative thinker who works well in an autonomous environment and is capable of identifying and driving new initiatives. An awareness of and experience with client-led deliverable demands ideally through exposure to project management, presentations and/or syndicated or custom research analysis is also highly sought-after.

Other requirements include:

• A trusted, approachable and respected team player who has earned the respect of peers, co-workers and senior management both within and outside their existing role in multiple offices.
• Ability to effectively manage and collaborate with a diverse group of creative individuals to produce highly polished and professional finished products.
• Ability to synthesize vast amounts of information and to see the big picture story in research findings.
• Ability to clearly communicate research findings, implications and recommendations in a concise manner.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to speak effectively to a variety of audiences, from internal research and sales to external clients.
• Experience using tableau or Power BI an advantage.
