Junior Database Administrator

In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance of production and non-production SQL database environments. This will include typical DBA tasks, such as installation and configuration of new SQL servers, capacity planning, backup and recovery, database integrity maintenance, reviewing performance data and configuring monitoring tools, index and query tuning, implementing security and auditing enhancements, troubleshooting and resolving various DB and data integration issues, handling tickets, providing guidance and support to end users, writing documentation, etc.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of relational database models;
• Good understanding of database security models and features;
• Good understanding of SQL Server replication, HA and DR solutions;
• Able to understand various SQL Server performance metrics and monitoring tools;
• Willingness to learn new skills in Database/Cloud technologies;
• Positive attitude;
• Able to work independently and as part of a team;
• Sense of responsibility and ownership;
• Good skills in written and spoken English.

It would a great plus if You have:

• Experience in SSIS administration and SSIS package development;
• Experience working with Amazon AWS Cloud (RDS instances, EC2, S3 storage);
• SQL Server database administration, PostgreSQL and MySQL experience.
