We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You will have an amazing opportunity to work with an experienced and constantly growing team. Your first project in Avalanche Labs will be in the Politics industry. You will be working in a team of 19 people: 1 Project Manager; 1 Product Owner; 1 Teach lead; 3 Business analysts; 4 Back-end developers; 1 Quality assurance engineer, 2 DWH developers; 2 Front end developers; 3 UI/UX Designers; 1 DevOps engineer. The product that you and a team will be creating is basically a "Research assistant in your pocket". What the tool does is basically pulls all the available information from various sources about a candidate in a smart way from multiple integrated source systems (like Twitter, Facebook etc.). Tool is based on AI and ML alike oriented information processing to provide American citizens a clear statement and with that allow them to take an informed and argumented decision on whom for example to vote for during coming congress, senate or presidential elections. Overall when joining our team as a Data Engineer you will have an opportunity to work with different clients and projects all over the world and kick-start your career here in Avalanche Labs.

Strong knowledge of data engineering principles;

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL;

Proficiency in Python programming;

Experience with Apache Airflow or other data pipeline tools;

Knowledge of web scraping frameworks (e.g., Beautiful Soup, Scrapy);

Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques;

Familiarity with data security best practices and data privacy regulations;

Exposure to machine learning and natural language processing libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, spaCy).

Develop and monitor data pipelines, integrate data from various sources, and ensuring data quality and consistency;

Collaborate with other team members to align the data infrastructure with project requirements and optimize the system for performance and scalability;

Maintain data security and compliance with privacy regulations.
